Here’s my history: Fitness has been a lifelong passion. Everything about has fascinated me since about 13: the anatomy, physiology, weights, kinesiology , physics, gyms, boxing, figure competitions, etc. I started boxing at 13, weight training at 14, personal trainer at 22, figure competitor at 25, core and mobility fanatic at 30. One of the great things about fitness training is that there is always more to learn; so I continue to explore different modalities that I can then offer to my clientele.
Here’s what I offer: I specialize in customizing a variety of techniques and modalities for each individual. My workouts are diverse routines that are based on many different physique, correcting ideologies. After assessing my clients’ physical history and goals, I create a workout that could include any or all of: weight training, core development, mobility and flexibility, conditioning and balance challenges, with an emphasis on proper warm-ups, cool-downs and stretching techniques. Clients train while here but are also given precise direction of what to do outside of their studio time, depending on their capabilities and their specific life situation. Designing my training this way optimizes and expedites results for the individual.
Here’s what makes me different: The studio is completely private. There are no other trainers or clients, no distractions or judgements. I pre-plan body specific routines depending on both what the clients tell me and what their body’s tell me during the assessment. We do coaching for the 1st 10 minutes to come up with a personal plan for the week ahead, seeing where we can fit some physical output in someone’s schedule outside of the studio time (even if that’s just assigned stretching and mobility). As clients become stronger and more experienced, those assigned workouts tend to target muscle development. I prefer daily text check ins (no additional cost)for questions and to help me understand the starting place for the next session.
Here’s my clientele demographic: As an ACE certified personal trainer, my clientele includes all ages and body types, from inactive teens, teen or adult athletes to those recovering from injuries, people struggling with health problems to moms wanting to get back into their routines after a pregnancy, posture issues to Parkinson’s disease and everyone in between. I partner with various health care professionals to make sure my clients receive the best and most accurate training advice and coaching.
Here’s where I offer it: I have been employed by the Alameda Athletic Club, NYSC, Crunch and Anytime Fitness, but I prefer my clients train at my home studio. This creates a more personal and relaxed environment and ensures that clients feel none of the pressures that a public gym can bring. My home studio includes a power cage, double sided cables, TRX, Yoga Swing, heavy bag, kicking post, EQ bars, dumbbells, barbells, kettle bells, slam balls, wall balls, and bands of every kind. The equipment I've selected for the studio yields the most impact and results for those I train.
Or, I can teach you how to use your body weight alone for an efficient home workout, and to maximize your results. Online sessions work well and are preferred by those who have time constraints.
I love to work out, I love to share what I know and I am both honored and humbled when I get to watch someone renew their confidence, develop consistency, reach their fitness goal, or reach their personal place of physical contentment.
